Each team discipline will engage a patient in an assessment process designed to evaluate all factors contributing to a person’s illness.

Hyperbaric Wound Care:

Wound Care Services at WNJ

Staff at the HBO and Wound Care Center work in partnership with patients to develop a treatment plan to help speed the healing process.  Acute and chronic non-healing wounds treated include:

  • Pressure ulcers
  • Neuropathic ulcers

  • Venous insufficiency

Treatment:

Treatment for Musculoskeletal Disorder and Injuries:

WNJ’s board-certified, medical staff orthopaedic surgeons perform some of today’s more complex orthopaedic procedures on hips, knees, ankles, shoulders and more. Many procedures, such as hip and knee replacement and back surgery are now performed using minimally invasive techniques, resulting in shorter hospital stays and reduced recovery time.

At WNJ, we advocate for and support the health and wellness of our community seniors! To qualify for a gym membership, you must be at least 50 years old.

Here are the steps to join:

  1. Sign the waiver and complete the registration form (Download now).
  2. Have your physician sign the exercise release ( Download now).
  3. Contact 903-870-4403 to schedule your initial appointment for education on the Senior Passport Program and the gym equipment.
  4. Bring signed paperwork and payment to the initial appointment.

Around-The-Clock Care

Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center (WNJ) is a Certified Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission, which means our staff and facility is qualified to deal with this condition.

  • Sudden numbness or weakness of face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body.
  • Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding.
  • Sudden trouble seeing, in one or both eyes.
  • Sudden dizziness, loss of balance or coordination.

The Therapy Services Department as an integral part of Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center. We strive to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve.

Location:

We are located on the lower level of the main building of WNJ. Our entrance faces west toward Bryant Street and is just south of the main hospital entrance.

Trauma Center:

WNJ’s Level III Trauma Center Provides:

  • 24-hour immediate coverage by Emergency Medicine Physicians
  • Rapid availability of specialty physicians and surgeons
  • Specially trained trauma nurses
  • Provides a higher level of care for rural hospitals
  • Offers continued education to staff, allied personnel, and the community about trauma care and injury prevention
